TSX AT to MT
Whats up fellas.*
Before anyone starts wigging out, I have spent a good deal of time at TSXclub and AcuraZine etc, digging into this topic. A few people have claimed to done this, but don't respond to messages, and have not yet provided details about specific problems the encountered.*
Its been a long time since I have been on H-Tech. But if anyone has info on this, it will be some of you guys.*
Who has done the Auto to Manual Swap on a CL9 TSX? What harness did you use? (auto or manual) How did you bypass ECU codes? What method was used to mount the clutch pedal? etc etc. Any info or help is appreciated.*
Thanks!

Also if we all just bought the ones we wanted, there would be no K series EG's out there. Everyone would try to buy type R's...etc etc.
Does anyone know of any successful swaps out there? I have also contacted Hondata directly for info.
Thanks again.
All I can say is... It's the same process as any other honda manual swap unless it's a completely different chassis between the auto and manual ... Try looking near the pedal and seeing if there are holes for the pedal or even little circles indicating where to bolt it and the same for the master cylinder .... Then look for a auto to manual trans mount if it's not the same and after that you will know if u ca do it or not... The codes will need to be fixed by getting a manual Ecu if that plugs in great if not wire it .... Worse case u end up with a big project lol and some new skills on how to wire weld and customize

being different is not always better...
theres a thing called wasting time.
and unless its a one of a kind car that you absolutely cant find anywhere else.
save up some cash. sell the car you have. in that time look for exact same one with manual transmission.

Bought my 06 from the original owner. Guy took amazing care of it. All the MTs (even with lower miles) are beat up by comparison. Its just such a prestine ride.
And the cost is not that bad, its around 1500 for all the parts, most of them brand new from Honda.

tried checking nearby states for clean manual?
its not gonna add any value to the car.
it will have more value by you keeping it in the condition its in.
post it for trade for a manual in same condition
if its pristine as you say then it will get a lot of interest and someone that hates driving manual might find you and trade

Automatics can be a lot of fun, and a lot can be done to improve its performance. I suggest you consider that. I've never heard of a conversion, but for 1500 bucks, you could have an automatic that can tear up the streets.
Using a manual feels good, and I'd prefer one myself. There really isn't anything you can do to a manual except swap parts. Automatics generally take abuse infinitely better than a manual can. I used to watch 800hp Talon's tear up the 1/4 mile with nothing but modified valve bodies, learned a bit in those days. Just something to think about.

Them k trans are a bit funny, cant imagine an auto k trans. OP throw a decent set of rims on it, then trade.
Had it been me, id keep it stock and do the swap though lol. Good luck with whatever you do.

I don't really want to "tear up the streets", although I appreciate the message. This is more of a project I want to do. I've done B-series swaps, turbo kits, superchargers, LS/VTEC....I have never done AT to MT before. Just want to do it. Thanks for all the feedback though.
if the car is mint like you said. don't make it "not so mint" by modifying it.
just keep it clean and get another manual tsx that's in rough shape mechanically with good body and rebuild that one so you can have an evil twin

swapping an 88-95 would be an ideal swap to start with.
