Transmission Swapping/Converting?

Transmission Swapping/Converting?
I am currently looking at a 1998 Honda Civic HX. It has the D16Y15 Engine (V-TEC-E) with the automatic CVT transmission. I want to convert it to a five speed. What 5 speed transmissions will bolt up to it for a 5 speed conversion?
Thanks

Any d series hydro manual transmission. Best one to get would be an ex trans. Your going to need a bunch of stuff like shift linkage, 5sp pedal assembly, clutch master and slave cylinder w/ the lines, clutch, flywheel, axles tranny mount, and a 5sp ECU. The ecu is optional but you will throw a CEL all the time if you don't get the manual ecu.

Re: Transmission Swapping/Converting?
'92 - '00, if using a '92 - '95 transmission you'll want to grab a 5 speed upper transmission bracket for a '96 - '00 Civic though.
Btw, they're are some intricacies to do an auto to manual swap on an HX, the biggest being that it requires a custom upper transmission mount/bracket (which no other '96 - '00 Civic does, it has to do with the weird mount setup for the CVT tranny)
