Default Transmission does not shift.

94 del sol with b16 transmission. Just rebuilt the transmission, when I put it together and had it on the car it shifted fine (Did not start the car, had other problems). Now the car doesn't go into any gear, I have not started it yet as I don't want to damage anything.

What are some things I should do/check?

The shifter doesn't move? Or nothing happens when you let out the clutch?

Take the linkage off, see if the shaft coming out of the trans moves with a screw driver or punch. In,out, side to side.

It moves less then an inch in and out. Do I have to break it free?

Its the tranny, you can't move it enough to shift gears even with the linkage off. I was told if the interlock guide bolt is put on wrong, it will lock you out of certain or all gears. I think its all in my case. How would I go about properly installing it?
