Default Too much ATF

No, I'm not going to overfill it on purpose. Just wondering if there is any harm by going a bit over the top (of the dip stick).

Motor oil, for example when you overfill it, will boil over and/or foam up. So that's not good.

Will ATF do something similar?

Motor oil or tranny fluid, a little extra is not gonna cause any issues, like 1/2 quart or less.

A D16 with run just fine with 7 quarts of oil in it, but it sucks when you only have a 6 quart pan and doing an oil change!

My DD Accord calls for 4.5 quarts of oil, I dump in the full 5L/5.2 quarts from the big jug. I uses/leaks 3/4 of a quart every 1500 miles that I drive a week.
