Shift Linkage problem?
alright so just got my car done recently and lately i have been having problems with shifting. I have a 91 std with an LSvtec using a A1 cable trans and using hasport mounts. when i got the car i got it pretty much as a shell and it came with cut and welded linkage with a skunk2 dual bend shifter. Now the problem is that sometimes it is hard to get in gear ( yes i have adjusted the clutch cable and its is also brand new) and 1/2 sit really close to the seat when in gear so when i shift from 1 to 2 my hand is pretty much hitting my seat.
The other issue is 4th gear, when i try to shift in 4th its like nothing is there it does not grind going in, it only grinds when i try to let off the clutch, but sometimes if i get 4th in the right spot and hold it in hard it will not grind when i let off the clutch and it will drive fine.
Im not sure what the shift linkage is from but it is cut on the stabilizer arm and had a square piece of metal welded in as if it were extended, the actual shifter arm is not cut at all. when i am sitting in my car looking at my shifter in Neutral it seems centered but it looks like its leaning back pretty far it is a skunk2 dual bend.
Can any one help me figure this out?
