Is there anything wrong with pulling the diff bearings off the original and installing them on another that'll go in.

 

I've done it before, if the bearings are good it shouldn't be an issue.

 

Does this go for all the bearings in the trans (swap from one into another)?

 

I've reused everything before, got caught on the last transmission I did though, replaced the obviously bad bearing with a new one from honda, checked all the others, everything seemed good, assembled transmission and installed, still have bearing noise.

 

Don't reuse the diff bearings.

 

Any particular reason other than you don't like running used parts? Or is there something else i'm missing.

 

Depends on the setup and mileage I suppose. If it's not anything that is going to sustain a lot of power or abuse, you'll be fine provided they are in good shape and haven't suffered from any debris. Ball bearings are pretty resiliant bastards as long as everything was maintained and you get them off/out properly.

 

You usually end up spreading the races wide when removing the diff bearings and shouldn't re use them. Just buy new.
