Default No Reverse after LSD install, Need help in solving this problem

To make a long story short since it has been awhile since i did the Quaife LSD install. So after destroying my oem diff i replaced it with a quaife lsd, i did plunty of research before i did the job. Problem is that after i got everthing reinstalled and into the car, by the book and a DIY i found on here. I found that i couldnt get it to go into reverse, all other gears work fine and shift smoothly. Now I can get it to go into reverse but i have to hold it into were reverse is but the shifter does no go into reverse itself if that makes sense. The car well reverse if i hold the shifter into the position were reverse should be but the shifter does not fall into gear itself. And the go will reverse like i said but will pop out so i have to feather the clutch and reverse slowly.

So I am about to go ahead and remove the trans again to see if i can find the problem and fix it but i am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on were to look.

Reverse idler gear is upside down.

Why don't people bench shift their transmissions before installing it into the car???? Could have saved yourself 6 hours and a lot of headache.

A friend of mine brought me a trans that they tore apart when I was just starting to work on trans but didn't know what everything looked like 'normal'. I went to close the case, doing everything how the trans was given to me, but the case wouldn't close. Turned out the reverse gear was upside down. lol That's the last time I mess with anything that someone else tore apart for quite some time.

Again, one time I didn't a couple years ago and put a trans I replaced parts in into my personal car. Got in and had no 3-4. Freaked out and pulled the trans back out. Turns out I jammed the ball and detent spring with the shift fork - a fix that could have been done without pulling the trans. lol I was so pissed.

I have a old clutch on the wall for bench shifting as well as a shift linkage handle.
