need input on gearbox problem.
ok. f22b engine and tranny. engage clutch and the rear of the tranny knocks(off beat knock). we just put the tranny back on because it was knock in at idle and when you would engage the clutch the knock would stop. im stumped at this problem, the clutch is okay and all springs are there, throwout bearing is in good shape.

So, it knocks no matter what? Is the clutch pedal up or down when the noise occurs?

before the tranny was removed. the car knocked at idle with the clutch at rest. on the limp home it lost the clutch. we removed the tranny found nothing wrong. reinstalled the tranny and now it knock with the clutch ingaged. and not at idle. both times the knock came from the Diff area of the tranny.
