you have a much better transmission now, your fifth gears are almost identical, but your old y1 has a longer final drive which is what gives you the lower mph. The YS1 LSD is very rare, and if you can find the stamp its on top of the casing, next to the coolant temp sensors on the head, it is not printed, it is engraved.

sounds to me like you have a USDM LS YS1 trans. 3k at 65 would be around 3200 at 70. That's LS 5th. If you had a GSR/JDM YS1, you would be turning around 3700 at 70. Did you actually look in your axle hole to make sure the trans is really an LSD? I'm betting you have a USDM LS YS1 with open diff. Yes, an open diff will grab both tires when going straight...

ya im sure its lsd i can see thru the trans...i no its usdm cause the gears are way too long way too long. i think he just put a factory lsd in cause i looks like he opened the trans. And no there isnt a lsd stamp.
