Default K20a Info requested on Automatic Transmissions?

To All:

Does Honda or the aftermarket make a good Automatic Transmission that can be adapted to be able to, "Paddle Shift", up and down through the gears, have the ability to shift down or up in a crisp fashion (Rather than a long delay once the paddle is activated), and finally be able to handle the 300+ Hp of the engine dependably over a long period?

Thanks I'm looking forward to hearing from you,

Regards,

Ty O'Neal

Dependable for track use, no.

Aquafina:

What types of kits are available for the AT, and what is the power with a good upgrade can they handle? (The car weighs 1300 pounds)

I would like to have a transmission or final drive with legs on it.

This car is similar to the Ariel Atom.

Thanks,

Ty

Aquafina:

This is like the car I am wanting to build.

This should give you a better Idea what I am looking to provide power for.

Take Care,

Ty

Unsure of any kits that might be available. Only trans that would be suitable is the RDX trans, but it is AWD. So you're out of luck for an auto.

Oh well, a 5 or 6 speed is fine with me.

I just thought I would ask.

Thanks for your help.

Why not use a JDM K20 6 spd trans and adapt a sequential system...it's been done, and it's very expensive.
