Ok heres the deal im looking to pick up an ls final drive. My buddy has a gsr, b16, type r, and ls. How do i tell which is which. Im guessing its easy to pick out the ls due to it being a diff ratio but i figured id help him figure out which is which for all of them.

 

4.26 LS final drive:
-15 pinion teeth w/ 2 notches on end of gear tooth
-64 ring teeth w/ 2 different sized notches ...

4.40 final drive:
-for gsr/itr/b16's 15 tooth pinions, they have 3 notches ...
-gsr/itr 66 tooth rings have 1 middle notch ...
-b16 66 tooth have 2 different sized notches ...
