HELP WEIRD TRANNY PROBLEM!

Default HELP WEIRD TRANNY PROBLEM!

i have a 90 hatchback with a b16 s1 trans in it.problem is that its kinda hard to shift and when its in gear and your driving the shifter would buck to he side and it would go bak and forth as you go faster.it does it in all gears when your driving.does anybody have any ideas?a friend told me it could be my shift forks or maybe my shiftlinkage but i dont know much about trannies.so any input would help me out alot.thanks

The shifter will move a slight amount during operation, as the engine/transmission will flex in its mounts.

I would look at the shifter bushings/mounting points, and the engine mounts for tears etc.
