Help with shifting
Hello all.
I have a 1995 Civic EX coupe with a 5 speed and the D16 motor.
Although most of the time (75 percent or so) I can launch the car fairly decently (remember this is street driving NOT racing), a few times I have killed the car or launched it with a lot of revving. A couple of times I almost have killed it. It seems that my feet are working around the sweet spot, not in it, from time to time. I know that through practice I will get better (I have had the car for less than 2 weeks and haven't driven it much due to lack of insurance), but what can/should I do in the mean time to help me learn to control my launches better? For example, tips, stories, methods, etc.
I got my head ripped off last time I posted for not including enough detail
but incase you were wondering my car is stock except for a 5 inch exhaust tip (ugh, used cars....). The clutch and tranny are good.
Thanks fellow HTers.
