Default H-to-B help!!!

i have a 5th gen prelude that is boosted. im currently using a base 5speed trans. im thinking about using a GSR trans i don't know witch would be better the H-series base 5speed or the B-series GSR trans. im using the car for drag and with my new set-up for spring im going to be pushing around 550whp+.

PPG is going to make a dog box for the H's. Expensive, but that should fix it PM Bullhead Gears

PPG dog box will be out soon and some others.. It would be a PITA to do H2B on ur car

ah. yeah i figured it would be. i was thinking of going with the base trans anyways.

That's because I don't think B-series mounts are designed for your chassis. :p

Really, the two trannies are the same in terms of ratios and the speeds attained in each gear. Depending on tire size obviously, but for the tire size I put in (23.5") and 7800 rpm (you'll probably rev higher)...

GSR: 38.3 - 65.2 - 91.1 - 119.9 - 157.5
H22: 38.9 - 65.4 - 95.1 - 123.7 - 157.4

Speed in mph.
