do i have an lsd?

Default do i have an lsd?

i have a b16 tranny with a obx lsd installed in it. i think. i was at a shop and one of the guys was spinning my front wheel and the yspin in differnt directions. is that supose to happen or did i get ripped off? its a del sol b16 tranny i paid a guy to put the lsd in it. do i have to take my axles out to find out? is there any other way to find out?

your best bet is to remove the axel

No. Was the car in gear? I"ve always had the car in gear when I spun the wheels. But I don't think that should make a difference>

No really... The front right wheel is SUPPOSED to spin clockwise, and the left front is SUPPOSED to spin the opposite, counter clockwise. IF they spun in the same direction, i. e. clockwise, then you would be in trouble.

my type r lsd both wheels do not spin in same direction.

only lsd i know for sure that will spin both wheels in same direction are a 2 way clutch type.

Hmm just learned something there. I was always told that if its LSD both wheels will spin the same direction no matter what, guess you cant believe what you hear most of the time.

Only deffinete way i've ever known was to just pull pass axle out and look through, bar in the way no LSD, see through no bar, lsd.

That would only be the case if the diff was welded, or had a spool in it.
