Default D15B2 MNZA 5 Speed Auto

I am working on something new. Asking for help to prove the concept could work. I'm hoping someone here knows of a good company that can make adapter plates.

The purpose of this tranny swap is keeping ef honda as original as possible while improving highway driving at 80mph getting the rpms lower.

The 2009+ Element 2wd automatic is the first 5 speed. MNZA is what it's called. I have done a lot of research into modern transmissions on older engines and it is being done by owners of classic cars wanting to maintain all original engine look and performance but add modern highway drivability.

Not doing manual swap, the goal is for the car to appear original in every way, adding a 5th highway gear.

Not gonna happen. D series spins counter clockwise, K series spins clockwise. Automatic transmission won't work with the input spinning backwards.

Plus the whole thing about the engine and transmission sit opposite between D and K. A K transmission would not physically work with a D adapter plate or not.

Why not K swap whatever you have that is D series power? Do a whole 5 speed auto and engine swap. Should be fairly easy. The hard part is integration into the existing chassis. Pretty much all the 5 speed automatics were CAN bus for integration. And the full swap ia going to bw about the only way to get a Honda 5 speed auto. The computer that runs the engine is the same computer that runs the transmission.

Thank you Ryan. That is mind blowing lmao
I wonder if anyone has ever tranny swapped a honda engine with something unexpected.

What 5 speed auto tranny can I connect to my d15b2?

I will be shocked if someone knows this.

Probably no 5 speed autos for a D series, they spin the wrong direction.

The gear swap is for a manual transmission...

There are no adding gears to the 4 speed automatic. That is not a thing and doesn't exist.
