Got a 01 CRV, 4wd auto. Just swapped in a new jdm motor. after some tinkering got the engine running real nice, until I tried to drive it. Was flashing the D light but hadn't checked codes yet. Tried to drive it, pretty sure the car was stuck in 4th unless I manually switched to other gears. Checked for codes, I got p1768 for the trans. Replaced the lower shift solenoid, didn't fix anything. Has new trans fluid, and the transmission also worked fine before the swap, so I'm completely lost as to where I've gone wrong. Really would like to avoid taking it to a mechanics shop, seeing as I'm not wanting to be charged an arm and a leg for something I know I could do myself. Any tips?
