Default Clutch,axles,diff???

So at the track with my turbo em1. I have a b16 trans with an lsd. I was Doing a burnout and the car hooked and I herd a pop. Goes through gears fine, and the clutch pedal feels like it always did. But, when in gear and foot off the clutch car doesn't stall. If I apply gas the speedometer Moves but the car doesn't. I Checked my passenger axle and it looks fine, and inside where it sits into the dif/trans looks fine. I haven't done the driver side yet but it looks fine. Can it be something with the clutch.

if the speedo goes up it's not the clutch. You have a broken axle or busted diff.

i figured when he said speedo he actually meant the tachometer because he says the car doesn't stall in gear

because he's got an lsd instead of a standard differential either wheel should be able to produce some sort of push when in gear and the clutch is engaged so I still think it's the clutch, unless somehow the differential is so bad it's not allowing either wheel to grip

So I pulled both sides axles and everything looks fine inside where the axle sits. So now here why I think it's clutch. My launch control activates at 6000k rpms when the clutch is in. I hold the clutch in and it just revs out... With and lsd if I jack the car up in gear and spin the wheel should the other move? Only one wheel spins for me

I'm pretty sure that's the spline part of the halfshaft. The only thing is how to get it out!!

dude, your axle broke INSIDE your diff!

yeah, when you spin the wheels on an LSD car both should spin forwards. on an open diff car one spin forwards the other spins back.

to get that busted piece out, take out both axles, go to one side of the transmission (the opposite side of the busted axle) stick an extension in there, and wack it with a hammer to pop it out.

That's pretty impressive that it sheared the axle right there before breaking the diff. That is, assuming the diff actually is still intact...

If you have an LSD that is open through the middle, you might be able to push it out from the other side.

If not, you'll probably have to drill and tap into it, then thread a bolt in so you have something to yank on.

I shaved down the neck of a long Craftsman flat blade screwdriver once so that I could knock out a broken axle spline stuck in a stock open differential... had to thin the neck flat with the blade on one side to be able to sneak it by the large diameter pin running across the center of the open differential carrier housing. A few sharp whacks with a hammer and it was out.
