Automatic Transmission
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site and I would like to be part of it because this is a grate place to learn and I like how everyone helps each other.
I have a question for anyone that knows about this. I have a Honda Civic 2001 with a bad transmission and I was told that it has to be rebuilt, taking the opportunity of this situation I would like to learn how fix this transmission. Does anybody knows where I can find a good automatic transmission repair manual? Help will be appreciate it.
Thanks

Yeah, Helms manual is the only book to help you out. The only people that typically do a good job rebuilding Honda autos are places like H&A Trans, that specialize in Honda transmissions. They're a different style auto than most manufacturer. I'd recommend not attempting unless you are very mechanically inclined, have a lot of money,a dn want to buy some special tools.
EVS is correct..you will need special tools and there are special tricks in autos. H&A builds them different than OEM since there are common failures in OEM applications that need to be modified to help the transmission live longer. Modifications that are not listed in the OEM Helms manual.
