Default Adjust clutch cable? . . . HELP!!!!

Ive got a 92 Civic hatch with a b16a that I recently bought. The car was converted to use a cable tranny and thats what I got. It has a competition stage 1 clutch, and I know the guy who owned it before me beat on the car pretty bad but the clutch still has plenty of grab. Im used to my Integra that had a really sensitive clutch, and the clutch I have now feels like a sponge. I would like to know how to adjust the cable so it is harder to press down, springs up quicker and more sensitive. It also grabs kind of close to the top for my taste, so any help with either of these problems would be greatly appreciated
