i gotta a6 tranny, when the cars on and im stopped it wont go into 2nd but as soon as im moving itll go into second, when the cars off it wont go into second at all, my 2nd gear grinds only when i downshift too it(at high rpms). mi first gear feels weird sometimes it goes in like butter sometimes it feels sticcy its popped out like a couple of times, other then that the tranny is fine, i just got a jdm dohc zc tranny and i thinkin about replacing all my a6gears with the dohc zc gears... any suggestions

 

broken 1-2 shifter fork, bad mounts, countershaft bearing walked out are all possible.

I need to see the internals.

 

A6 diff and FD in the ZC trans and you're done.

 

the a6 tranny is still in mi car ill try n get pics of the internals asap, but for the a6 diff and fd in the zc tranny sounds good but what about my input shaft i think its the 20t spline

 

Get a clutch for the ZC then. Better 2nd gear than the A6.

 

Why is a 20 spline clutch a problem?

89-2000 all used them.

 

yea my fault, i meant 21. my a6 tranny is from a 90si and i didnt want to give my 6puc up etc.
