I recently took apart my zc tranny and replaced the bad input shaft bearing, but upon reassembly I must have done something wrong. When i put the gearset back in the case I checked to make sure all the gear work smoothly. They do. Then i put the two halves of the tranny together but not torqued down. The gears all still function. Then when i torque the case bolts I can no longer get it into reverse. My friend and I are fairly able mechanics and we took apart and reassembled it at least 10 times. I said screw it and put it back in the car for now. When I drive it 3rd and 4th wont stay in gear, 5th grinds a bit going in, and i still have no reverse. I really need some help. I am stumped. Save me from replacing this tranny.
