Hey guys i'm getting ready to install the zex 59300 cam in my z6 head today, I know it's a loud cam when installed but i was just wonderin what are the valve lash specs. people are using to make it quieter ? the only spec. i've found is

.006 & .007

just wondering what everyone else is using, to attempt to quiet the cam down ? if you guys could get @ me asap ! i'd definitely appreciate it - thanks justin

 

man when i had my civic i tried a few different specs that i found around the net and nothing worked damn thing sounded like an old school diesel

maybe someone else found an effective way but i just ended up dealing with it

 

I doubt changing the valve lash is going to change the sound of the cam. If it is aggressive enough, it will always sound like that no matter what the spacing is.
