you dont have the 2 step set in the hondata do you? Its based on speed so if your car is sitting still and you try to rev it, it will hit the 2 step.

I would start off with compression test, then check the timing. Put it at TDC and make sure the cams are lined up the way they are supposed to. You never know, could have a bad cam belt tensioner.

On another note, this was about 8 years ago, but I put a d16z6 motor into my 91 hatch. My first problem was getting fuel to it. Had to rewire some stuff. But my second problem was the distributor. I was getting fire but it was at the right time. I had to convert back to the odb0 distributor. Which the zc is obd0 so I doubt thats your problem. Just throwing it out there. But if you got fuel, engine itself is in time, and the distributor is firing when the engine needs it to. It should run. Does it have one of those injector resistor boxes?

no resitor box. i used high ohm injectors because i didnt want a resitor box. the dizzy i have is for a obd1 zc so it should work. thanks for the input i ll look at the timing again.

i checked the timing and it was perfect. i found out it was a bad dizzy. the brand new one that i bought wasnt working. i took the one of my single cam and put it on and it started right up and worked great. go figure.
