Default zc pistons on a y7/8 mini-me

I am just wondering if I run zc (d16a9) pistons on my Y7 bottom end with a Y8 head, will that give me any problems?

I understand my compression will be fairely high, so I can run 92 octane all the time, that's ok just wondering if there's anything else I should take into consideration or if this will even work..

the only reason I am chosing ZC pistons cause from my understanding is that they are factory D series pistons from honda with the highest compression? I was told they were differant from say a z6 or y8 piston (more of a dome, whereas those were flat) if I am wrong (which is a pretty good chance) are they the same pistons?

please shed some light, I dont want to end up going through with this and having valves make sweet loving with pistons or something or having a ridiculously high compression

You will have extremely high (for a street car) compression with that setup. The Y8 head has the smallest chamber of the D series heads and the ZC piston has the largest overall dome volume. My calcs show about ~12.6:1 with that setup.

hmm xcellent, that's the whole point, I wanna gehtto-setup to see best bang for the buck, I dont care about blowing anything up really...so 94 octane it is $$$$ hehehe...basicallty I hjave a CX I wanna half *** a all motor setup...already got my Si tranny....than head, than pistons...few other things should be good to go..hehe

but nothing should touch right?

thanks for reply

actually now that i'm relaxed and thinking straight, 12.6 is way too high compression, whats a step down from that?

like d16z6 pistons? what kidn of compression would I get with those (or same as z6 motor)...haha int hat case I might as well swap motors...bohoo no fun, I want 14's for udner 1K ghetto stylez
