Default YS1 vs J1?

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the first gen cable trannies are. Differences between the J1, S1, YS1 and Y1?
I currently have the JDM J1 cable tranny on my B16A1. I am thinking of trading with a buddy for the USDM YS1 cable tranny and I need to know the differences in gear ratios, spline diameters and I also need to know if the hydraulic parts will fit in the USDM YS1 (first gen)?

Basically what I would like to do is put the GSR hydro gears in the YS1 cable tranny...if possible. I also heard the YS1 is stronger and thus better then the rest...is this true?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
