I am about to get another trany. I am getting a YS1 with LSD. I was woundering if the USDM and the JDM used the same parts to rebuild it. And i am wanting to put a taller 5th gear in it for the highway. What 5th gear and syncros would i use?

i have a USDM YS1 GSR trans which i hear is identical to the JDM minus the LSD. anyway i just replaced the 5th gear for a 94+ GSR 5th.. the ONLY things i had to replace were the main and counter shaft 5th gears. the synchros were fine as is.
