Default YS1 tranny problem???

Ok.....

I took my tranny apart and installed my obx diff. Put the tranny back together and it will not go into 1st,3rd,4th and 5th. An old motorsports mechanic told me to check the 12mm screw with the ball and spring closes to the passenger axle. Removed the screw to find that the spring was messed up and the ball was wedged into the screw(sorry bolt). The opening on the bolt is now oblonged(not circle). Is this the problem or do I have to open the case back up..

Thanx. This was my 1st time in my tranny.

pics are blurrd but the 1st pic is the old bolt with spring.

The second one got logged in there and has some marks on the ball. As if it was pressed against something.

macro mode is the flower icon on your camera.....turn it on

..and maybe hold the subject a little further away from the camera so it can focus on it.

But yeah the tranny experts wil be thru soon im sure.

This peice which I have no idea the name is what I think is the problem. Ok 2 out of the 3 tolerances are out of spec according to the write-up I went through.

This one is out of spec:

this one is good:

And this one had the most drag:

Im think I will have to change this piece. We where able to get it into all the gears its just took a lil effort.
