ok i have a ys1 cable case with hydro b16a gear set and diff.now i'm going to be getting a obx lsd and i was wonder do i need to grind the inner case like you would to use a oem itr lsd?here is pic of what i'm talking about.

i didnt have to grind my ys1 case when i fitted in my ATS b16 hydro lsd. the only thing i did was changing the speedo sensor gear.this was like 7years ago so i dont remember which speedo sensor i used to swap. i had to change it coz it wouldnt fit nicely.
get the obx lsd and see how it go. or may be somewhere else on HT can help

You know whats funny? When i put in my 97 itr lsd into my ys1, no grinding was needed as seen on your picture. I thought i needed to grind by reading the how-to artice but mine cleared just fine.

Only way to know if yours will grind is when u go to fit the lsd.

 

I have a ys1 with a MFfactory first gear
3.070 1st
1.9 LS 2nd gear
1.458 3rd b16
1.107 4th b16
and 5th b16 dont remember the ratio.
With the OBX LSD, and didnt have to grind a thing.
