Default YS1 cable tranny

sorry i dont have time to search i am at work, i would like to know how to tell if a YS1 cable tranny came out of a LS, or GSR thanks

Other then cracking the case and counting the teeth thats the only way. Its the same way with Cable S1's they came both in LS and X-si.

Sorry to say but sounds like a LS tranny. My B16 S1 at 80mph in 5th is close to 4500 RPM give or take a bit for Honda tach usually being off. Check http://crx.honda-perf.org/math/index.html and the USDM S1 (LS Transmission) does show 3800 RPM at 80 MPH.
