Yes i have another question about basic mantanince...
I was talking with a friend and he told me i should have my coolent flushed? my car currently has 50k miles on it, anyone know when i should of had this done? and how do you do it? and he also said i should put a solution that would clean it, any ideas where i could buy this? thanks alot, i love honda tech a very helpful site
thanks for kissing my ***. lol. flushing only means draining it all out. theres a valve thing on the bottom of the radiator, undo it and let it **** in a bucket. then close it and fill back up 50/50 green coolant and water, and add some cleaner from tyhe parts store like advance auto. etc.
If ya' just change it regularly, there shouldn't be any need for a cleaner. You should be OK at only 50k without using a cleaner. I changed mine at like 60k when I did a timing belt and it 'looked' brand new.
i actually change mine every 30k miles, i would also add redline water wetter, or purple ice from royal purple, those keep your sytem cooler.
you can find those at most auto parts stores
