Default yea ive got problems

alright.........my car would occasionally not start, id give it a few minutes try again and itd fire right up. main relay, im lazy so i didnt feel like changing it...........over the last week it has progressively gotten worse, everytime i try to start my car it cranks but doesnt turn over over this time period my idle has become rougher, still idles between 720-760 rpms.........i figure id buy a main relay and an ignitor......heres what i dont get.........if i push start my car it starts, and i swear i get a wiff of gas every once in a while but when i sto pmy car and smell around i cant smell it at all......... i dont have a multimeter so im not checking the voltage on the ignitor......im lazy and im poor......i just want this pos o work for another coupel months. its a 4ghatch w/b series obd0 pw0. oh yea and one other thing, its an obd0 ecu so it doesnt flash the cel but the cel is on, there is no window on the ecu to check it, wtf do i do about that? helps appreciated in advance. thanks for the b/w for my longace post

First of all, if you want your car to run, stop being so lazy about things. Changing an ignitor and a main relay should only take about 30 minutes at the most. Is 30 minutes worth all the headaches you are going thru now? The PW0 does have a window on it like all other OBD0 ecu's.

thanks for the reply, let me rephrase myself............yea im lazy because im busy as hell... but i dont have money (or time even if its only 30 minutes) to throw at parts that need not be replaced....so.........anybody have any ideas on the push starting..would i be able to push start my car if it was the ignitor or main relay?
could it be the fuel pump? im curious about the occasional scent of gas while driving
ive got the following cel's 8,9,22 is there a 23? if so what is it?

You would not be able to push start the car if it was your main relay or ignitor. Your problem is in your distributor. Code 8 is top dead center sensor and code 9 is cylinder position sensor. Either your wiring is causing the problems or those sensors are failing. That is the cause of your car's not starting issues. Code 22 and 23 are VTEC related which would not cause starting problems. So check your wiring and you may need a new distributor.

I know what the cel's are for..I cleared the ecu, no codes drove it for about 30 minutes no codes.....decided to see if id get the 22 when vtec engaged, and the vtec engagement came and the cel came on, checked it, 22 and 23.
Reset the ecu, drove it home and i got the 8 and 23.
Could these be anything other than the dizz? Is there anything else? Timing related possibly, im gonna check it and make sure it didnt slip or there wasnt some warping of the belt or something.
Any other ideas besides a new dizz? know any "cost effective" place to get one, its obd0 but ill take whichever and just rewire it. tia

Yeah a code 8 has to do with your dizzy, i believe TDC or #1 cylinder position, which can cause lots of weird problems (i had to deal with this after my swap, turned out it was a loose connection inside the dizzy to the TDC sensor, tightened it up and everything was fine). Code 22, 23 are vtec so check your wiring and vtec hardware.
