Default y8 v-tec pistons????

which way does the v-tec pistons/syncronizing pistons go into the rocker arms? im pretty sure they go in the way i have them in the pic, and when checking for valve clearence i would switch them to lock in the mid rocker arm(v-tec).
the only reason i ask is because when i built my last d motor v-tec did not engage and i have no clue why.

also when i got my car tuned a while ago they wired my tps and my map sensor together anyone no why?

That's the correct way to install the pins, but you aren't supposed to mix up the rockers. That might be why your vtec never engaged on the last motor. If you mix/match the rockers and pins, there's a slight chance that they won't line up perfectly and the pins will never slide into locking position during vtec.
