yesterday, i bought a sony deck, a clifford alarm, and some new fosgate speakers. i work at best buy so i was gonna get the guys there to hook it up for me.

so when the dude is doing the preliminary tests, he turns on the wipers, and the ****** radio shuts off. So he turns off the wipers, radio comes back on, then he turns on teh lights, radio shuts off again. I noticed today, my horn was not half as loud either....

he told me that the wipers aren't at all connected to the radio, so that shouldn't be happening...

the guy who had it before me, took out power steering, sunroof motor, and a/c, and dome light desn't work....its a 92 si with b16 swap

somebody tell me something to calm my nerves, cause i'[m tryin to avoid the dealership

 

Your installer is a monkey that didn't know what he was doing. He may have gone into the fuse box trying to get the accessory wire and jumped off or the wiper wire or something. I would reinstall it yourself. I never trust any installer unless I know that they have a good rep for installing.

 

yep what store do you work at?
the installer who did it is a moron.
he shouldnt have touched anything other than the stock harness unless its a deadhead deck.
get to know your installers before you let them touch your car.
trust me, i used to work at best buy.

 

i apoplogize for not explaining better...teh installer never actually touched the car, when they were doing the tests to make sure everything was fine, he noticed that somethin was up, and said that he wouldn't work on it because of liablity...

he noticed that my electrical system was fucked up, so he didn't do any work to the car...

i just took it for a spin and while i was driving, teh tach and speedometer would just randomly turn off like the car was off...it was ****** crazy. then it wouldn't start, so i tried to pop the clutch. dind't work, then i had to get a jump and it started...

i'm going to get a diagonostics test tommorow, but before i go, what do u guys think?

 

Bad ground mabee?

 

alternator might be going bad or battery. check all fuses and make sure no frayed wires touching ground
