Default WRX question

Sorry to post a WRX question on h-t but here it goes....
a friend of ask if there was a way to lift a WRX an inch or 2. he does alot of surf fishing and needs the extra ground clearnce to go over sand. i know that there some rally parts out there but he didn't want to do anything wild just enough to keep the car out of the sand.
let me know what you think.

Scorpion makes a lift kit, but I think it's kinda expensive.

Look into legacy springs. Kind of a shot in the blue.
