Default wouldn't start, at first.. low fuel?

Well my car was parked in my garage for about 4 days, i went on a vacation out of town and had to leave the car sitting for a little while...

Yesterday I got back tried to start the car, and it would crank but not fire, almost like it wanted to start but couldn't quit do it. So I grab my sisters car, pull out the cables and try to jump it, nothing. Then i start pushing my car down the street, jump in pop the clutch and nothing. Sit on the side of the road for a few seconds and try cranking it again almost starts so i step on the throttle and after about 2 seconds it starts up, grey smoke comes out the back but nothing bad. Im wondering if this happened because the fuel was low, i think i remember the low fuel light flickering on once before i parked it but it wasn't starving for fuel.

Also, took it to the gas station filled her up and no problems since then. I'm hoping I didn't do anything bad to the motor. Any ideas would be appreciated.

might just be in need of a cap and rotor and spark plugs tuneup. if you let it fill with gas and leave it again for 4 days and it starts up fine then i would say it was a gas issue. what year is the car and stuff?
