Default wouldn't running open header on obd2 gsr b a problem?

i have a 99 gsr and i want to start to run a open header at the track when i go. wouldn't it be a problem though because the 02 sensors are in the cat and the air isn't going to be passing the 02 sensors. so would it run like **** or would it be fine to run a open header?

It won't hurt anything I drove with mine. Worse case senarios is you go into in a open loop ( the engine runs richer cause o2 is not conected. Only applys to frt o2.) You should be fine cause the rear o2 is only there to verify the cat is working not affecting fuel or anything. Just have the one o2 in the header hooked up and you will be good to go.

i have 2 o2 sensors on my cat, i don't have any in my header. so if i ran open header would the engine still run right with it not going through no o2 sensors or would it be better to disconnect the bolts that connect the cat to the midpipe. so it like running an open cat this wouldn't cause anything bad would it cuz the air will still be gong through both o2 sensors?

I'm pretty sure your computer would throw a code and go in to limp mode. Mine throw that code a lot but not since I switched to obd-1

Your ECU is an OBD2 so it'll through an engine check light and turn over to a much safer fuel map. This compromises tuning and limits the true power output of the motor though. So in order to preven the engine check light to come on you'll probably have to chip it or have some one reprogram the ecu.
