I know that I have read this several times on several different websites, and publications, but I cant seem to find them any more: by urgrading to a "big brake kit" for just the front brakes, the stopping performance will improve very slightly if at all. In order to help braking performance, all 4 brakes should be upgraded, not just the front 2.
Im pretty positive that I am correct on this, I would just like clearification. Any websites or insight would be appreciated.

it would help significantly in a straight line, as the fronts do most of the braking.
BUT, the car will not be well balanced. You need to have a proper balance of front to rear, so it's not going to allow either
A), the rear end to walk around on you on slight angles
B) rear lockup before the fronts fully engage
C) Excessive wear on either fronts or rears
Chevy is really bad at this, by using MOST of its braking with the fronts, causing the brakes on big Suburbans to hardly last 15k miles. Same with the new Accords, but with the rears. Rear brakes (disc brakes) usually are down to the wear indicators by 25k miles
