when i take my car to 4k my check engine light pops on and i cant rev past 3400. i turn off the engine and start it again and the light is off till i take it to 4k then the check engine light pops back on. i think it might be an O2 Sensor but i dont want to go replace part after part. it is a d15z1 vtec-e. anyone ever have a similar problem before that they were able to fix, or does anyone have any clue what the problem is

You need to pull the code before anyone can begin to help you. It is probably not the O2 sensor that is causing your problem.

 

this.^^ sounds like its going into limp mode.
possibly may be dizzy, timing off, etc..

 

Check engine lights exist for a reason, it's not even like it's hard to read the codes.

 

i've heard of something similar happening from being too low on oil, vtec is smart

 

Go to 4000 on your way to autozone and have them pull the code for you, do they still do that, I havent been on this site for awhile now.
