Default WISECO RING Placement

I've done a lot of searches but haven't found any help.

On the instructions that came with the pistons, i notice it says to place the number 1 ring and number 2 ring gaps 180 deg apart BUT on the piston pin line....??

I think most people try to avoid placing any end gaps on this center line

Where do you guys put your rings on wiseco pistons?

Keep the ring gaps off the thrust surfaces. I like to keep the top ring gap off one of the exhaust valve reliefs, and the 2nd ring gap next to an intake valve relief 180 from the other ring

The pin center line is ok. It's not a thrust side. Follow the ring end gap placement sheet.
Just remember the arrow pointing to "front of engine" should read #1 cylinder.

So the thrust surface is the piston skirt area? Reason I ask is because where I'm from we don't use that term
