Icon4 Wipers stopped in upright position.

Hi, got a problem, my 2016 Civic EX wipers stopped working. They both now point directly up, and I have to manually push them down. Flicking the stem into each wiper speed position no longer works and the wipers do not move at all* (*See #4)
  1. Checked fuse and appears to be good.
  2. No noise coming from the motor when flicking the stem up.
  3. Both arms move together when I manually move the arms, so I don't believe it's the transmission.
  4. If I disconnect and reconnect the battery, reset the arms to standard parking position and flick the stem they'll move across the windshield and then stop when pointing directly up again.
Appreciate any help.

Default Re: Wipers stopped in upright position.

I haven't seen it happen on a factory original wiper transmission/linkage, but after market replacements can slip at the crank coming from the motor. the stop position is usually internal to the motor housing.

Best suggestion I have is to pull to cover and see what's happening when it moves and stops.
