Default wipers dont return to rest position

recently bought a 95 integra and when i shut the wipers off they stop wherever you turn the switch off. The 2 different speeds work. This isnt my first honda just havent ran into this problem. Am i looking at getting a new wiper motor or are there a few things to check first?

Both my EJ8's have had this problem. Its very annoying and I rarely use my wipers. In fact I keep them unplugged unless it starts raining hard then I reach under the column and plug it back in.

This problem comes from the wiper motor itself, yep it's pretty common

I would check the ICU, intermittent wiper and park is controlled by the ICU.

Are you having any other ICU related problems, does intermittent wipers work, does rear window defog work, do all your warning chime functions work, [lights still on, key still in ign., seat belt warning]? 94

The ICU, [Integrated Control Unit] is mounted to the back of the under dash fuse box...

The white box, it unplugs/unclips from the fuse box.

It may be repairable, search for the "fix", in most cases all that is needed is a new capacitor. 94
