hey guys will an obd2a engine harness plug into an obd2b engine or it need to be modified?

bit more info the engine is an obd2b H22A Euro R
Harness is from an EK Sir B16A obd2a
Car is a 98 EK Cxi non vtec, similar to the usdm ek's with the y7 i think

i also have a spare em1 engine and interior harness i can use which is obd2b but i dont feel like taking out my dash to swap it all in since the 2b harness is like a 2 piece thing joined to the interior

an h22 motor has a different wiring setup, so you're going to have to modify a harness either way.

 

but the plugs should be the same yea? like there wont be sensors on the 2a harness with 3 wires while on the 2b theres 4 wires?

im okay with extending wires, but having to run new ones gets abit confusing :S
