Default wierd map sensor probs

on my eg i have a cel for map sensor. so i go down the list to trouble shoot the prob..
first i realize the yellow/red wire that is supposed to have 5v. has no power.
i also checked continuity on the white and green wire from the map plug to the engine harness plug, its all good. so maybe the yellow/red wire got pinched somewhere?
ok so i run a 5v off the tps sensor
now i check the white wire which is supposed to have like 1v at idle and fluctuate. it has 5v at idle.
i also check the green which i read is supposed to be a ground. it also has 5v.
what is going on here.
ive tried 3 map sensors and its the same, im wondering if somehow the green (ground) got pinched and isnt grounded anymore? i dont want to just ground that wire o the plug and short something out.
im out of ideas. my next step is replacing the entire engine harness..

anyone ???????

Cut the map sensor wires. Find the three wires at the ECU they are supposed to connect to, and run the wires directly. See if your problem still exists.
