Default Why jdm?

Whats so special about JDM parts? The other day i was talking to some guy and he said he would rather have JDM internals instead of some aftermarket brand like JE/SRP, crower.... ect. Why.

Some JDM parts tend to give more performance than OEM parts, such as pistons and certain cams and such. They are also factory Honda parts, which means that they pass Honda quality control and can be expected to last long and produce minimal "side effects".

Once you start getting into aftermarket parts, chances are that they made compromises in order to make them perform the way they do (durability, comfort, driveability, etc...)
