why does it smoke?
OK, here is the situation. Fresh built R motor with around 1200 miles on it. Under heavy acceleration when I hit 5K and up rpm I start to blow smoke. Light color, maybe light blue. Not realy heavy but definetly noticable. I just got the car tuned so that eliminated the running rich, and I checked the plugs and they look good. I am wondering if it could be possibly a bad valve seal or maybe a ring didn't seat correct. Anybody have any ideas?
You didn't use stock bore pistons did you? If so, you have to much cylinder to piston clearance. Its almost guaranteed that an engine will smoke then.]
Tell everything you know about the rebuild also.
if you did not seat the ring within the first 50 of so miles that would cause the smoke too.
Normal break in procedure: 2nd gear 2k-5k and let revs come back to 2k. repeat
over and over
