why do you guys do 5 lug conversions? does the car handle any better than 4 lugs? just wondering, show me the light

supposed to handle more torque or something. car wont handle better unless you're doing the itr 22mm sway bar swap as well.

There was a poll a while back where about 60-70% did it more for looks than performance. They liked the larger selection of wheels and the bling factor. I would consider doing it as an upgrade from the stock disc/drum setup, but the price is way too high. I believe that fastbrakes.com offers a kit that is equal to or superior to the 5 lug for less $$$.

i got 5lug because i was tired of the **** *** brakes my cx came with. i drove my friends car with 5lug and it stopped on a dime.. so thats why i got it. i did it more for the braking power over looks, but it does look good too.

bigger front brakes, but more for the looks factor. for civic's though its a upgrade because of the beefier control arms.

basically its all show though. My friend went the cheaper route with gsr front and back brake conversions on his hatchie.
