There was a topic like this a while ago, from what I understand on one dares to make an after market synrco, esp. for honda. Also, we found that honda will only sell the whole set.

Would the be hard to fabricate out of a stronger material. I know that there are Kevlar ones for ford. I wish they had those for Honda!
