94 hb cx D15B8 w/out exhaust from mid section down

compression test show 183 on all 4=good min=135 max=185 spec.
white smoke only on acceleration
head looks new or redone by machine shop

when i first got the car from previous owner, he said bad compression. it bogs down on acceleration, but that was due the spark plug was on wrong.

could it be the valve?

 

sounds like the head gasket to me.
Ways to check for a bad headgasket
1. does the white smoke have somewhat of sweet odor to it

2. check the color of the coolant, see if its a milky color, or little darker then usual

3 .pop the rad. cap off, start your car, and let it run for a little bit see if there are bubbles in the coolant
