Default white smoke after head rebuild

Ok I just got finished putting my 2000 GSR back together after I bent a few valves racing.
Well I started It up and there's some white smoke comming out of the muffler during idle and under acceleration. It dosn't look like it's burning oil 'cause it's white and odorless. This would indicate it's burning coolant, but there's no oil in the antifreeze and usually there would be bubbles in the overflow if the head gasket was blown right? Also would the ECU pick that up and throw a CEL? There's also a very little black watery liquid collecting in the tip of the muffler.
The car also has race gas in it and it's been sitting for about 2 months now. Might this have anything to do with it? Could the watery liquid be condensation in the gas and in the exhaust system? I let it idle for about a 1/2 hour and it still smokes.
any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I've heard that higher octane fuels spoil quicker than lower, but that's just rumors.
About your head gasket, are you overheating at all? Did you clean all mating surfaces of the head and block better than good? WHat head gasket are you using? Did you spray copper gasket sealer? It seems like your gasket isn';t sealed completely. And if it's that, you won't have oil in coolant or vice-verca. It could be a small leak, but generate into a bigger one.

when i put the head on i cleaned both surfaces, I used a Honda head gasket, i made sure all the headbolt holes were free of any liquid and I used that head gasket spray. It better not be the damn head gasket just 'cause i spent soo much time making sure it was perfect.

after I rethreaded the head studs and installed a new HG, my car has white smoke billowing out the exhaust for a long long time- it did eventually go away though. My speculation is over time the exhaust piping had coolant sit inside it till it was just caked on and it took a lot of heat and some time for it to be removed from the exhaust.

i thought they were supposed to greased the head bolts & washers with motor oil. most likely from stretching. says it in my manual.

yeah, most likely you just had coolant spilled. No biggie, at least it's gone. Good job on the head gasket . Nothing;'s worse than fixing something that you just fixed

Hey, thanks!

I know that feeling, the first time I tried to put the head on I put the Headgasket on upside down. Now I have a 5' diameter oil stain in my driveway and I don't think the smell of burning oil will ever go away. Oh for those of you trying to change a head gasket, don't put it on upside down unless you want to quickly eject all 4.5 qts. of oil into your engine compartment in a few seconds.
